Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 and grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She made her acting debut at age 7 when she played Gianna on “Barney and Friends.” It wasn’t until 2007 that she got her big break as one of the stars on Disney Channel series, “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
Selena Gomez is also a singer, she first performed songs for the soundtracks of several Disney movies she appeared in as well as the soundtrack for her hit show, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” In 2009, Selena broke out of the Disney music scene and formed her own band, “Selena Gomez and the Scene.”
The singer/actress also launched her own fashion line in 2010 called “Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez.”
The young star recently is making headlines for dating fellow teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber. She was previously linked to another young star, Nick Jonas.
